This BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE EMBROIDERED Textile from INDIA has polychrome embroidery and mirror work on a cotton background. It features Ganesh, I believe, in the center flanked by 2 figures as well as other designs. The embroidery thread looks like cotton or silk, perhaps a blend.

This may be a Shrine cloth used for a special occasion or ritual. I am not outlet certain of its origin, possibly Rabari, Kutch, Banjara, Gujarat, Rajasthan, or Saurashtra.

Textile measures approximately 21 3/4” square and there are 4 loops at the corners. This would make a beautiful wall hanging, pillow or table cover center.

Overall in good vintage condition with wear due to normal use including light spots or soiling, and design drawing visible.  A WONDERFUL addition to any Vintage or Antique Tribal Textile and Folk Art collection!
