This wood box is a one of a kind hand made item. I don't know what kind of wood it is/ maybe cherry or burl wood? The lid is not not attached As for the greenish color, I believe it could be old green fungus that was in the knots of the wood that was heavily varnished over to give the greenish highlights on the wood. Whatever it outlet is it is really different It measures 8 3/4” long by 5” wide by 5” tall.
