Vintage Gold over 800 Silver Graduated Filigree Panels Necklace 17" outlet Canetille Work Entirely handcrafted, a labor of love! Can you imagine creating such an intricately detailed necklace by hand, tiny piece by tiny piece? Each panel on this necklace is made by painstakingly cutting tiny pieces of wire and soldering them together in a preset design. It requires highly skilled craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. The necklace is made of 800 or 80% silver. It is marked 800 and was carefully tested. There is a maker's mark, "GB," which I haven't been able to identify. Composed of seven graduated filigree panels. The overall length is 17". It drapes beautifully, and it is a gorgeous, delicately made necklace. It closes with an older type of spring ring, which leads me to believe it is from the late 1930s. It is in great condition, with a minor loss of plating on the high points. This is consistent with age. Please see the photos for details. Sold as is. CG5246.
