COMPATIBILITY:
Our Hot Wire tools work best on rigid polystyrene foams, also known as expanded polystyrene (EPS, Styrofoam or bead-board foam) and extruded polystyrene foam (XEPS or XPS or pink or blue insulation foam). If you are unsure whether or not this tool will cut the foam you intend to cut, please contact us before buying. The Hot Wire tools will cut many kinds of foam, but always check with the foam manufacturer to make sure there are no health or safety hazards when using hot wire tools.
NOTE:
Polyurethane foam (upholstery foam) should NOT be cut with hot wire tools. It needs a ton of heat, gives off toxic fumes, and leaves a lot of melted plastic wherever it is cut. We recommend that the polyurethane foams only be cut with a blade or saw.

This product is warranted for non-commercial use within the fifty states of the USA and the District of Columbia as follows:
For 90 days from the original date of purchase, HWFF INC. will, at its option repair or replace a defective unit free of charge, if the unit is defective due to an original manufacturer's defect.
