Universal Statuary Maiden candle holders marked with the number 1957. In doing research I found the number represents item number. The fact that the item is chalk-ware dates it to the 40s thru 60s. Find below a link to history of Universal statuary. These items were made in the hundreds not thousands and considering they are fragile it makes these items rare today. One maiden is in real good condition and the other has a few small chips in the rope design along the edge (see pictures).
Stands 11" tall, and a 5.5" x 7" base. Bowl is 4" diameter.
