Lovely and large Victorian hand painted Bristol Glass Vase.Scenic view of a church and water and a mountain in the background, surrounded by a foreground of floral and gold. The gold in the floral and leaf decoration is very nice and strong. Lovely Opaque glass with gold banding accents at top and bottom. No chips or cracks.

Bristol glass is a mold-blown, semi-opaque glass manufactured throughout Europe and exported to our shores during the Victorian era. It is usually pink, blue, white or outlet clams-broth in either a glossy or acid-finish and decorated with various motifs popular during the period of 1880-1915.
