Hand Dyed Teal Merino Alpaca Silk Crochet Lace Shawl


I've made this pattern more times than I can count. It's a triangular shawl with a repeating shell pattern until you hit the outside border and then it explodes into extreme lacework with large shells, flowers, and picots. This one is made with a Feza laceweight yarn, a Merino/Alpaca/Silk blend. I did this one a little differently. I made the whole thing in bare yarn and once completed, I dyed the whole thing Teal. There is a depth to the color that's interesting. Dark teal, shimmery cast due to the silk, with the merino pulling a darker green that gives it the depth. Pretty sure it's the nature of the yarn, but I love the effect.
