This is for the 1971 Sports Illustrated Pro Football Game. Similar to Strat-O-Matic this was designed to be an annually updated release to be the most realistic game possible. This was later reissued by Avalon Hill under the name Paydirt. The side of the top cover has a chunk missing from it, but otherwise the game isn't in bad shape for being over 50 years old. It is complete. There is even a bonus. The original owner included outlet a Chicago Tribune sports section from 1972 which showed the 1971 standings and 1972 rosters and schedules.
