Cherry coloured Keshi Pearls with vibrant natural green rough cut Russian Chrome Diopside gold on silver necklace and earrings set.

This set is totally organic in appearance with wonderfully shaped Keshi Pearls and rough cut Chrome Diopside they can only be natural genuine gemstones.

The beautiful richly coloured pearl and Russian Chrome Diopside necklace measures 46 cms and is closed with a very secure 9k yellow gold on silver Lobster Claw clasp. The earrings (for pierced ears) comprise a cluster of Keshi Pearls and Russian Chrome Diopside suspended from 9k yellow gold on silver shepherd hooks, the drop is 2 cms.

Keshi Pearls are wonderful organic, petal shaped pearls created when the oyster rejects the irritant introduced to create a cultured pearl, but continues to produce the nacre which would surround that irritant (normally a grain of sand). Nacre is what gives the pearl its lustre and orient and is the most valued part of the Pearl.

Pearls are one of the birthstones for June and are traditionally given at 3rd and 30th wedding anniversaries. Amongst many delightful myths and legends is the belief that giving pearls cement love relationships and safeguard children.

Chrome Diopside is a gemstone of a unique natural green shade. The colour you see is the colour it comes out of the earth. Mined in one of the most inhospitable regions on the planet it can only be accessed for 3 months of the year. In some outlet cultures it is associated with peace and tranquillity, it is believed to protect from all evil and bad memories.
