HEAVY weight, beautiful ~ weighing nearly one pound per yard!! When you feel this fabric, you'll know you'll never see another like it again. This bolt is unwashed, as found and can be machine washed over and over and over again! It will be far softer in texture once washed ( please see instructions below) ~*~ This bolt of beautiful homespun European linen dates from the early to mid 1800's. HEAVY weight with a twill weave. The front side and the back side are different tones, so it's ideal for multiple projects or projects that you would like to be able to see both a dark and a lighter tone! ~ ~ ~ This wonderful fabric is a hand loomed, and is a gorgeous , pale natural toned linen with a gorgeous nubby and slubby, twill weave!! ~A RARE find ~ The texture if fabulous. Originally this fabric would have been for household use for sheeting or clothing fabric. This bolt is ideal for window treatments, table runners, pillows, upholstery etc! This could also be dyed for a beautiful effect! Machine washable over and over and over ~*~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. I love knowing these linens were grown without the use of pesticides, just lovely natural fabric. it took the average weaver an entire night to weave just 21 inches. The work involved in producing these necessity was incredible. That was even after growing the plants, retting, spinning ! ~*~ We are so very lucky to get to outlet hold these amazing textiles from history ~*~ *~

MEASUREMENTS : I'm selling this bolt by the ONE yard length. So each purchase is for a length that measures ONE yard by 23 inches long. If you would like to purchase further continuous yards, simply change the quantity button . CONDITION : This gorgeous textile is in as found, unwashed condition. Beautiful unwashed condition ~*~ *There are some dirt marks on this bolt , but they will wash beautifully simply machine wash on warm with normal detergent and Oxyclean. It can be machine washed and tumbled dry! I like to use Oxyclean for the storage marks and I like to add fabric softener to the final rinse for added softness ~*~
