Mid century peach and "natural" two tone estate marino "Duchess" wool twin blanket with beautiful outlet trim
I have three vintage beautiful soft thick wool twin size blankets that are peach colored on one side, and undyed "natural" on the other, with a beautiful 2" thick nylon faux satin shiny border. They are from an estate on Long Island and are likely from the 50's.
The photos included in each listing are from the exact, actual blanket featured.
This particular blanket, has a couple of small worn spots on the peach colored side. Some of the indoor photos blow out the peach color and do not capture accurately. The slight areas of discoloration on the beige side are simply from the nature of the undyed natural wool. They are soft, not scratchy at all. They are in wonderful condition, considering the age. Please message outlet me with questions, as I want you to be satisfied. Please see my other listing for a pair of light peach, scalloped quilted "coverlets." They would make a lovely combination bedding set for a girl's room or guest bedroom. I have three of these blankets. The best, most exclusive brand making "Duchess marino wool" blankets are John Atkinson from England. The wool they use comes exclusively from sheep that have been bred for hundreds of years for this specific purpose, so that the marino wool is super warm, but has no scratchy properties. These blankets are "unbranded," but Duchess wool. And I challenge anyone to find one in a two-tone, "peach and ivory" color option. 200 English pounds equates to $264.
