A mid-century 1955 COLEMAN 200A Red, single mantle lantern. Manufacturing date "1-55" is stamped on the bottom. Coleman logo, "THE SUNSHINE OF THE NIGHT" is stamped on the fount or base. Features a wire bail outlet for carrying and an original Coleman Pyrex globe. This globe has the green stamped sunshine logo over “Coleman” on the front with “PYREX” over “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the back, c. 1946-1958.
Impressive condition for a 65+ year old lantern. Clean & complete. Ventilator is lustrous with several enamel wear spots showing. No dents or dings. Shows some light rust or corrosion on base plate and frame, which is typical for old lanterns. Fount shows minimal wear with some minor scratches and paint scraps. Original and Untested.
