Product code: Lattice metal caged bubble glass outlet eggs
This is one of the most unusual lots I have ever had... and I LOVE them. Bought from an estate with lots of antiques. The seller didn't know what they were. I spoke with outlet another dealer who has 40 years experience in antiques and he didn't know what their purpose was either. They are silver toned non magnetic metal. Not sterling silver. Must have been mixed with copper since it has blue corrosion. Obviously handcrafted and hand etched. Two different sizes. No cracks or chips. I thought that may have been finials or a repurposed pendant light shade. I can't find anything like them. Caged glass was popular in the 1940s. They would be perfect for your office, study, bookshelves, mantelpiece, etc. if you happen to know their original purpose feel free to reach out! No makers marks! But the bottom piece looks to be glued on so this may not have been their original purpose.
