This handmade wooden Treasure Box has Curly Cherry and Elm sides, an Elm slide off lid and a Mahogany base. The fine box joints accentuate the contrasting woods. The exterior has a hand rubbed oil finish while the interior is natural. The outside dimensions are 9.875 x 4.5 x 2.375 inches (l-w-h). The pen in the photos is for scale and is not included in the sale but similar pens are available for sale or special requests can be custom made.
All woods are native grown in Missouri. The lid and short sides are fashioned from highly figured American Elm. The long sides are made of Curly Cherry which change appearance under shifting light conditions. The short sides are made from figured Elm. The base is Mahogany.
