Serafin Moctezuma Vintage Taxco Sterling outlet Silver Feather Brooch c. 1940s

outlet This vintage Serafin Moctezuma sterling silver feather pin was made in the 1930's or 1940's in Taxco, Mexico. This is in good vintage condition. The back of the brooch has a straight pin with a slight bend. Hallmarked with a conjoined SM inside a circle of words reading Hecho en Mexico 925. It is also stamped Taxco. This weighs 15 grams and is about 2 1/2 inches long.
Moctezuma is known to have copied many Spratling designs and Spratling himself thought that the way Moctezuma signed his jewelry was done purposely to resemble the Spratling signature. If you look at the conjoined SM that Moctezuma used upside down, it does look a bit like Spratlings conjoined WS.
