This listing is for a Vintage Depression Era Jadite Mixing Bowl most likely from the 1930's. This beautiful heavy bowl was probably made by the Hocking Glass Company or McKee Glass but has no makers mark. This handsome bowl is heavy and measures 9.5 inches across the top (tab handle to tab handle) and stands about 5 inches deep. I suspect the bowl was originally used on a vintage Hamilton Beach mixer, or similar. The jadite glass is thick and has a wonderful bright color. Unfortunately my photos do not capture this as nicely. The bowl is in nice vintage condition but does have roughness to the finger around the inside upper rim (fleabites, tiny chips and one small cluster of fleabites). There are some utensil marks in the bottom of the bowl but most are quite faint. There are some manufacturer imperfections and a couple of specs of brown but nothing that ruins it's vintage appeal. It is clean, shiny and ready for use! This bowl is perfect for mixing batters and dough's (as it is nice and heavy) but also for serving a big salad, popcorn or salty snacks. It holds 15 cups (about 3.75 liters)
