A 1940s beach hat with a gently sloping brim.
The grosgrain ribbon tie is stitched to the inside crown of the hat
The plaited straw sections have one straight & one triangular edge. These are coiled from the crown to the brim, leaving the outer edge with a zigzag finish. The brim has a slightly rippled edge.
The plaiting style and rustic straw give the hat a textured surface.
The original gold grosgrain ribbon tie is stitched down inside the crown.

The sloping crown will accommodate most heads.

CONDITION:
The pretty sunhat is in Excellent condition. There is no breakage or staining of the straw. It retains its original shape and flexibility.
Some fine straw fibers can be seen in profile.
The gold grosgrain ribbon has light staining and fraying in a few places. See last photo.
