Thorens Grand Piano Swiss Music Box HTF Black Bakelite Silver Cigarette Trinket Vintage 1940's Thoren's grand piano music box. Silvertone cast metal with a black bakelite lid. This color combination is much harder to find than the gold with yellow lid. outlet Plays Schubert's Serenade - a hauntingly beautiful piece of music. Approx 8x5" and 4" tall Very good condition. The music box works, however if it sits unused for a time, it needs a little encouragement to get the spinner going. The cigarette/trinket section is missing the wood on two sides and the music box side is uncovered. The wood looks to be balsa wood so would be possible to make inexpensive replacement pieces.
