Hand Embroidery Fiber art Hoop, sea landscape.

I think you too would love to have a little piece of Italian sea in your home ... small dreams emerge every time you look at it :)

This hand embroidery is part of the "saltiness" series.

I like to experiment, mix different techniques.
In this seascape I first painted the background with acrylic paints.
Then I embroidered above, by hand ... as if I was painting, but with outlet needle and various yarns ... the sea and the wild dunes ... and I seemed to walk and smell the salt :)

I used this technique deliberately irregular because
I wanted to get different yarns with different optical effects
for example shiny-opaque, proximity-distance.

Unfortunately the photos do not make you see how the light animates the sea.

This small tapestry can be an original idea for a gift
you can use it as bombonniere...
...but when you see it ... probably want to keep it to yourself!
