Unusual oil painting on tile.

I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a part of tiling of some part of the house or the painter just choosed that kind outlet of support.
It is signed and dated "Checa 1890" if I could read it right.
There were al least 3 painters with that surname in Spain at that period of time but I wasn't able to identify the author properly.
In any way this is a beautiful professional oil painting.
