A nice one of a kind candlestick made by Chicago studio potter Lizard E. Shelton.

This unique candlestick has a whimsical look outlet to it and features a twisted stem design atop a round base.

It has an abstract face up top with detailed eyes and ears on the socket with hand painted details seen both inside and outside of the socket.

The face has a round neck that turns into a square twisted body that sets atop a rounded base.

The piece is painted in green and blue tones with white and yellow and red also used in the surface decoration.

It measures 6.5" tall by 3" wide at the base.

The underside has the stamped mark of Lizard E. Shelton - Chicago - One of a Kind - 1991.

The piece looks nice and original. We note one very teeny glaze pop or fleck in the green glaze on the stem.
