Gorgeous Art Nouveau pewter metal pitcher with hinged lid hallmarked "Z" on the bottom.

This authentic art metal pitcher dates from the 1890's-1900's and outlet most likely was made in Germany judging by the Jugendstil type design. The craftsmanship is excellent, from the sinewy curves of the floral design and tendrils embossed in relief along the body to the reticulated geometric handle on the side. The lid is hinged and easily raises up by the thumb handle. The underside is marked "Z".

It stands 13.5" tall by 7" across by 5.5" wide, and weighs 2 lbs. It's in very good conditon with no cracks or breaks, and just has a few minor dings on the outisde.
