Super rare and exceptionally beautiful, this amazing lithophane panel from the mid-19th century represents porcelain art at its highest achievement. Made by impressing the porcelain to different outlet depths to create a stunning image when held to the light, very few of these have survived the century and a half since their were made. This lovely creation is in a frame much more recent than the panel itself: (perhaps 50 yrs ago) and is ready to hang or display in a window. Victoriana at its best.
