Ephemeral Jazz Age advertising booklet for toothpaste by the “Creator of The Dr. Dolittle Books,” commissioned by Colgate Company.

“He wondered if the Chief Wizard had anything in his box of magic tricks for the treatment of teeth as good as Colgate's Ribbon Dental Cream.”

Full of delightfully unapologetic outlet sales pitches amid a fantasy setting. The full name of the product, Colgate's Ribbon Dental Cream, is repeated faithfully throughout: “behind him, in the Land of Fairy Beasts he left something far more precious. For now the Night Mare, the Sea Serpent, Pegaus the flying horse, the Centaur, the Dragons, the Easter Rabbit and all the others out of Storybooks were able to keep their teeth in good shape with Colgate's Ribbon Dental Cream.”

Illustrated by Lofting in color and black and white, including full-page color images. 16 pages (including wrappers). A bit of marginal toning and some light rubbing to front wrapper. Very good plus.
