Original story from the NY Tribune, July 22, 1913
concerning the murder of Policeman John Cahill of Brooklyn.
Long article with photo of Cahill and the murder weapons. Note the knife
reveals blood on the blade.
It appears that Cahill surprised two robbers at the St Mathews RC Church on
Utica Ave + Lincoln Place, Brooklyn.
The article details the crime and gives background info on Cahill.
He worked out of the Atlantic Ave precinct and lived on Chestnut Street.
I have added his listing in the 1910 Brooklyn census for your review only.

This was one of many scrapbook pages acquired recently.
Many were in poor condition and had to be discarded, but this is one of the
lucky ones to survive.
This clipping is attached to the original scrapbook page and measures approx 14
x 7-1/2
Other than the outlet expected age discoloration, it remains in VG condition. The old
paper
has some minor tears around the border, but this does not affect the historical
content.
