Carved in solid walnut, this piece is my rendition of a famous Cornish Witchcraft amulet. The use of Abracadabra itself can be traced back to the 2nd century CE where it was first documented as a healing spell to protect against disease. The design I have chosen to carve here is taken from a protective amulet common amongst cunning practitioners of Cornish witchcraft who would prepare these textual amulets for clients. Originally on parchment and inspired by Reginald Scot's The Discoverie of Witchcraft (1584), I present the design here in solid walnut. Hanging device will be fitted to a recessed rear panel. Custom orders can be made of this design if you need a different size or no recessed panel to the back. Drop me a line for custom work.

This piece will be made to order for you. These usually take about 3 weeks to make. The carving will be the same as pictured of course, although as each piece of wood is unique, the grain and final finish will be slightly different from the one pictured. Once complete, your piece will be carefully packaged and shipped via Royal Mail or courier with full tracking, depending upon the weight. Thanks!
