⚘ There are approximately 6 grams/mls of solid perfume, just over 0.2 ounces, in the round violet glass jar measuring 1 3/8" x 1 1/8" deep.

⚘ The jar contains a honey bee wax seal on the top and arrives with three informational cards. Ready as a gift to oneself or someone you cherish and appreciate.

⚘ The beeswax in the solid perfumes comes from the two colonies of feral honey bees I am guardian to, or other mindful, bee guardians.

PERFUME DETAILS:

Fragrance family: Floriental
Essences: Twenty different essential oils, absolutes and C02 outlet extracts, plus an infusion of resins into jojoba oil.
Notes: Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Lilac, Vanilla and Citrus
Edition: January 2019

Ylang ylang and jasmine essences are associated with femininity and sensuality. In aromatherapy circles these two aromas are considered relaxing, euphoric and strong aphrodisiacs. The word aphrodisiac comes from the name of the Greek Goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.

The inspiration for Lyra began with a custom perfume created for my daughter Eve (Evangeline). Since I do not replicate custom perfume formulas, I swapped out some essences in the top, middle and base and added new ones. We choose the name Lyra while reading "The Golden Compass."

PLANT FRAGRANCE / BOTANICAL PERFUME

⚘ In the same tradition of the gourmet artisan culinary arts, I make these nature fragrances by hand using the highest quality natural raw materials. All these perfumes are made with essential oils, co2 extracts, absolutes and my very own plant infusions. The beeswax is from my hives or other holistically minded, west coast bee guardians.

⚘ There is quite a lot of smoke and mirrors with the words "natural", "botanical", etc. I have a blog post about it at my journal. I wish people wouldn't lie, we live in a dualistic reality which is currently run by greed, and thus so it is.

⚘ No synthetic, animal, phthalate or paraben materials — completely cruelty free with no animal testing by me or my suppliers.
