Up for sale outlet is a beautiful and unusual antique whisky or rum toddy ladle. Hand made in Victorian Scotland from wood and silver plate and dating from c1860. The bowl of the ladle is hand carved from what we believe is fruitwood. The handle is ebonised wood, and is rimmed with a scalloped border. The toddy scoop is in good, solid condition with some old shrinkage cracks in the gourd or bowl that have been repaired with a shellac filler. This is a truly lovely and rare find for use or display.
