This is a fine example of the very rare Friedrich Dorten “Dorko” Premier 101 straight razor made in Solingen, Germany around 1930-35.

Best Solingen Silver Steel, the razor is a 13/16 Full Hollow ground with a wonderfully fine edge & round tip. 3 1/16” effective blade length. 6 1/2” closed. 48g weight.

Acid etched Dorko Premier in a classical cartouche on the blade & stamped Dorko Solingen, Made in Germany, 101 on the outlet tang.

The scales are beautiful Ivorine celluloid with a black spacer, nickel silver pins & washers & a nickel silver inset trade mark rondel.

It is in good antique condition but in need of restoration!
Some minor oxidisation around the pivot, water marks, fine scratches & a couple of tiny micro chips on the edge which will hone out pretty easily.
The scales are free from chips & warping but need a good clean.
