Vintage Pull Toy Goat, c. outlet 1930s

This cool goat pull toy shows it's age, but it a wonderful decor piece for a nursery, or any room for that matter. It dates from the 1930's . It's head and legs are made from black metal and they are attached to a wooden body. It lopes along on beautiful red and green wheels. The mechanics work well when pulled along by its string even though it does lean to one side a bit.

There is a crack on the wooden body on the outlet left side, but it does not impede the movement of the toy and does not really compromise the integrity of the piece and does not move because of the staple that passes through to the other side which fastens the front metal section. There is chippy, crazed paint on the body which does not flake off without impact, and a little age-related tarnish and rust on the metal hardware.

The fasteners (nails and staples) are all original, and the only thing altered is that I detached and washed the pull string because it really, really needed it.
