20th century original watercolor on paper by Japanese woodblock print artist Takashi Nakayama (1893-1978). Both signed and framed with wood and outlet glass. Beautiful, evocative vintage watercolors of an older man carrying a fish basket and a young woman carrying an umbrella in snow. He was a noted watercolorist who fused Western painting styles with traditional Japanese subject matter (his son was also a well regarded woodblock artist with a more modern style). Signed bottom right.
