Pretty vintage wool coverlet made by the Murray Bay Co. for Canadian Steamship Lines c. 1940s. The coverlet's base is a dusty rose color (difficult to photograph exact hue), decorated with beautiful outlet hand stitched design work in off-white. Motifs include hearts and plants/flowers with striped borders. The design work is done using wool yarn woven, laid and tied into large French knots creating a hobnail like texture.

Measurements: 91”L x 60”W

Condition: This coverlet is in very good vintage condition. There are a few pulled threads and a small 1” black mark in the center. The fabric has a slight puckering from washing. There several small spots where the fabric is wearing through (pictured). They do not appear to be caused by moths but rather age and are only noticeable when held up to the light.
