Very large Victorian shawl! Beautiful jacquard silk fabric- black with plaid and areas of moire. Difficult to capture this piece with photos as it's jet black and generous in size. There is an area of damage on the edge, see photo. Otherwise, the shawl has a few tangled tassels, some pinholes, but nothing else major. It's very clean with no odors. Will add ✂️ tomorrow! (Searching for my tape measure) but it is over 5' x 5' May have been used in mourning practice for covering piano, mirrors, furniture. Could be folded and worn over shoulders, it's large.
