This wood fired pitcher was hand thrown on a potter's wheel in a traditional fashion by Lynn Isaacson of New Prospect Pottery outlet. Made from a high fire stoneware (ceramic), the pitcher was thrown, then shaped and trimmed. Next, texture and a hand pulled handle were added. Finally, it was glazed only on the inside and then fired in my anagama-style wood kiln, here at New Prospect Pottery. The stunning coloration on the outside comes from the clay, glaze, fire, ash and atmosphere developed during the multi-day firing cycle and the cool down period. It is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.
The pitcher measures nearly 8” tall x 6” across from the spout to the handle.
All work from New Prospect Pottery is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
