Griffin leather mask, hand-painted in outlet antique copper and oxidized metallic blue-green, gryphon

This wearable griffin mask has been hand-molded from high quality vegetable tanned cow leather, from a template of my own design. It has been hand-painted with acrylic paint, inside and out, in a aged copper, like the colour of an old penny, with metallic blue-green highlights to mimic the colour of oxidization. The colours have a wonderful sheen and stunning contrast -- the photos don't do the effect justice!

The mask is sturdy, but also lightweight and flexible and very comfortable to wear. It comes with two removable ties attached. Great for use outlet as part of a costume, or for display on the wall. The size of the piece is approximately 11" wide by 9" tall.

This shop entry is for this specific colour, but custom colours can be ordered by request. Simply enter your colour request when placing your order and I will do my best to accommodate it.

Each mask is an original, hand-sculpted work of art, using no forms or moulds, and is signed inside with my monogram.

(Note: because each mask is individually custom hand-made to order, it will have some very minor variations from the mask shown in the picture. I use the same shape template for each griffin mask, but due to the characteristics of different sections of leather, every mask is a little bit unique!)
