Antique Miner's Oil Lamp Timber spike hanging lamps - Very Rare Forms w/ iron Spike to Hang in Good outlet Condition - hinged lid -
A very rare and unusual pair of survivors of the 1800's gold/silver/coal mining era this fun pair of antique oil lamps could be hung from wall or ceiling timber to provide light in mines or similar dark corners. the forms can easily be used today - rare mis matched set of antique miners equipment.
Measures: Iron form is 4.5" long spike - 5" overall height when hanging - 1" think outlet lamp proper approx. 3.5" oblong form - no dents or bends - hinge moves smoothly - cosmetic rust as pictured. No makers ID probably English made. Brass form is on a 6.5" long twisted wrought iron spike and has the remains of a small chain that probably held a flint for lighting or similar tool. Bowl is 4" back to spout - 2.5" wide and 1" deep - just perfect for holding a tea candle.
