Wonderful Paragon Tea Cup and Saucer Set
The beautiful Creamy peach ground of this Paragon Bone China Rose Floral Teacup and Saucer #7666/5 is as refreshing as an early summer morning. The interior of the scalloped teacup and the saucer are decorated with a floral motif of pink roses and dusky daisies in shades ranging from white to pale brown, with appropriate green leaves and tendrils on that scrumptious light peach/ cream ground. A narrow band of platinum is about 1/4-inch from the rim. The handle, foot, and outside of the cup are also outlet platinum trimmed.
ThisAvon-shape teacup is 4-inches in diameter and 2-1/8 inches tall. The foot of the cup is 1-7/8 inches in diameter. The equally beautiful matching saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
The backstamp is the Double Warrant Royal Arms backstamp in gold that reads: "Paragon, By Appointment to HM the Queen & HM Queen Mary, Fine Bone China, England Regd." Both Royal Warrants were issued by the respective Queens in the 1930's, and this mark was usedby Paragon from about 1939 to 1949. The pattern number G7666/5 is at the bottom of the mark on the saucer. There are also artist's marks on each piece.
