This vintage Japanese kimono *Meisen "Haori" is a Japanese outer kimono usually worn over a kimono. Perfect in any season.
This Haori has beautiful leaf patterns and multicolored flowers on a 100% wild silk fabric with an amazing appearance.

*The "Meisen" style silk kimono was the most popular garment in the 1920s and 1930s, when people still wore the kimono daily. It is very different from all the other kimonos that have always had a "classy" feel. Meisen kimonos were worn as every day at home and for daily tasks. The main characteristic of Meisen is its pattern, which consists of pre-dyed threads. As the fabric is woven, the surface decoration appears as a shimmering pattern. Due to events such as World War I and the Kanto earthquake of 1923, the price of silk plummeted and the production and popularity of the meisen kimono was at its peak. The Meisen kimono was an elegant, affordable and durable garment for every day. Their crazy models are very similar to modern art paintings.
