This is a gorgeous medium-sized tea pot shaped to look like one of Japan's famous tea houses. Kyoto- the city this tea pot is named after- is the home of many of today's favorite teas, including green tea. It has an ornately shaped handle and straight spout. The round lid extends into the pot a few inches. The body of the tea pot is embossed, the top portion has roof shingles and the lower portion has Oriental designs on it. The base is a little wider than the rest of the tea pot. Bottom is marked Kyoto Tea House Taste Setter Sigma Made in Japan. * Size: just under 7"H with lid; from spout to handle it is 8"; body of teapot is about 4.5" across * Color: creamy outlet white * Brand: Sigma * Condition: Gently pre-owned condition with light use and wear. Item is clean, no discolorations noted. No chips, cracks, or other cosmetic defects noted. Unglazed rim around bottom has picked up a little discoloration from storage.
