~This amazing stoneware sculpted vase is by noted potter James outlet Loso. James Loso is from St. Joseph, MN. He passed away at the age of 71 (1941-2012). His decorated and sculpted forms are highly collected and are a trademark of his pottery. He used three clay bodies over his 50-year career, stoneware, raku and porcelain in that order. This vase being made of stoneware is one of his earlier works. His pieces are widely sought after for their unique qualities and artistic forms. This vase measures approximately 5 3/4" tall and 5 1/4" wide at the widest point. It is signed on the bottom, "LOSO". No chips or cracks.
