Vintage Lacquered Russian Khokhloma Trinket Box Hand Painted Lacquered Trinket outlet Box w Matching Spoon Ladle and Small Cup
outlet From a local estate, these beautiful matching pieces date to the 1970s-80s and reminds me of some of the beautiful lacquered Russian pieces I've had over the past several years.
There are three pieces in all, all hand-painted lacquer over wood, and they are either from Russia or the USSR. They are considered to be Khokhloma painting.
The only identifying mark is remnants of a sticker on the bottom of the trinket box with Cyrillic letters coming through.
The trinket box is quite sweet and measures approximately 4” in diameter and about 3” high including the little top piece.
The spoon or ladle is double sided and about 7 inches long, and the bowl is approximately 2 1/8 inch wide.
I'm not sure what the little cup was originally for but it's about the size of a shot glass and I just love the little feathery gold design that repeats around it. The top is approximately one and three-quarter inch diameter and it's about 2 inches tall.
I'm selling the trinket box, spoon, and cup all for one price as a set. It's been a couple of years since I've had any beautiful Russian lacquer pieces like this.
In good to very good preowned vintage condition, all of these pieces are quite lovely and show minimal, if any wear to the finish. Everything is intact with no missing paint or chipping that I can find. It really is a lovely set.
