Stig Lindberg's splendid RANKA coffee set consists of one cup and one saucer with a stylistically pure shape and floral / heart pattern. It was designed as part of the famous "RANKA" series in 1960s. The series is skillfully handcrafted according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. Excellent vintage condition. The artist:
Stig Lindberg (1916–1981) designed more than 150 models and decors for the Gustavsberg factory. One of the most well-known series is Prunus. His brilliant series "Prunus" has stylistically pure shapes decorated with blue plum pattern. It was designed in 1962 at the Gustavsberg Factory in the Stockholm archipelago. The series is still crafted at the same location according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. An outlet example of legendary Swedish porcelain design.
