Product code: Edwardian sterling silver top cut glass perfume/scent bottle, made by Percy Whitehouse, London outlet 1904

Edwardian sterling silver top cut glass perfume or scent bottle, made by the noted silversmith Percy Whitehouse of London.

The sterling silver screw top has a honeycomb embossed pattern around the circumference, and a monogrammed circular panel to the top, with the letters "ED" in a copperplate script. Fully hallmarked for London, 1904, and the outlet maker's mark of Percy Whitehouse, who carried on the family tradition of making high quality dressing table items for sale by prestigious shops, such as Asprey and Mappin & Webb. The bottle itself has a simple, faceted cut glass design, with a volume of 50ml.

Dates from 1904, as shown by the hallmark.

Dimensions:
100mm (3.9") height
44mm (1.7") width
31mm (1.2") depth
The silver top has a weight of 8.3g

The silver top is in good period condition, with a few tiny marks, as shown in the photos. The bottle is perfect, save for a tiny flea bite to the rim above the threaded portion. There is still a definite trace of perfume smell inside the cap.

Perfect to use as intended, or as a display piece.
