Stoneware Pottery Pitchers, Vintage Belgian outlet Salt Glazed Ceramic Jugs, Gray and Cobalt Blue Earthenware Crocks
Nice pair of vintage outlet stoneware pottery pitchers from Belgium, dating to the late 1960s. The pitchers are gray salt glazed earthenware pottery with cobalt blue decorations--one with tulips, the other daisies. These are hand thrown and hand painted. The larger one is 1.5 liter size (it's etched in the clay by the handle), and the other one is about 1 liter (it's unmarked). (They actually hold about 0.25 liter more than their size.) They're both in very good condition with a little roughness in a few spots and one chip on the base of the smaller pitcher. These would be perfect for a rustic or country kitchen (as pitchers, spoon holders, vases, or simply decor).
Sizes: 1.5 Liter (50 ounces)
8.25 inches tall x 5.75 inches wide x 6.25 inches deep
1 liter (33.8 ounces)
