Antique Mother outlet of Pearl card case

Large antique card case.
In original condition, I haven't cleaned it, its as it was since last used. Untouched!
As you can see from the pictures there's a stain on the MOP, I have no idea what caused this or how to outlet remove. There's a few chips too on close inspection ( study all photos)
Clasp works great.
