Handcarved outlet Wooden Duck Decoy

I inherited this hand carved duck decoy and don't know anything about it. I outlet believe it was purchased in the 1980s, but don't know if it was a new or old piece. It is a natural wood color, and has lots of details in the carving. I am not sure the type of wood used. I tried to show the grain in the photos. It is a really beautiful carving. The duck measures about 13 1/2" long, 4 3/4" wide and 6" high.
