An amazing find for a crafter / jewelry maker / dress maker / costume designer. A whopping 3' long antique dress trim comprised of paste stones held together with tiny chain, antique sea foam coloured silk and silver thread tassels. This could be repurposed into so many things because of the shear length. I have tried to photograph all the details but it's almost impossible to capture the beauty!
There is an apex sewn close to one end, perhaps this was made to cross behind the neck for fancy dress? The shorter end measures 10.5” (including the tassels at 2.5”) and backed with the silk. The long end measures 16.5” of silk backed stones, and 8.25” of unbacked stone chain. The stones are all intact, none missing, there are some small snags in the chain where there is no silk backing. Because of how the rhinestone chain links are delicate the ribbon bends and flows and moves just beautifully. Weighs 72g
