Made in California by Santa Anita Ware Pottery.

Started in Los Angeles in the early '40s as Santa Anita Potteries, outlet they later became Santa Anita Ware.

The Pottery manufactured earthenware in Los Angeles from the 1940's into the 1960's. The company was best known for using a ‘drip glaze' decoration as shown in this dish.

An unusual color combination of blue petals and a bright orange center with a fun cartoon-like face in the center.

Marked on the bottom: "CALF U.S.A. - SANTA ANITA WARE"

Looks like a piece of brilliant 60's Pop Art.
