Circa 1960’s Maranatha Liturgical outlet Art Studios Sculpted Head of Saint Francis

This is a beautiful sculpted head profile on wooden plaque of Saint outlet Francis of Assisi. The face of this wonderful saint was made of clay like plaster and anchored into a carved wooden oval base plaque. This piece was made to be hung on a wall. It's austere simplicity exudes a great sense of tranquility. The piece was made by Maranatha Liturgical Art Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the late 1960's - 70 era. It has a paper label identifying this company on its back. This profile head on its plaque base measures about 11” in height and 9” in width. The piece shows some slight edge wear to the contours of the face. There are no chips or cracks. An exquisite piece!
