A geometric cut-out design flows around this wonderful vintage mid to late 1950s sterling silver Mexican bangle bracelet. The hollow round bracelet is constructed with a rectangular form. The repeating pierced Machine Age design is framed by thin carved lines. The dark shadowbox of the bracelet's inside provides nice contrast to the shiny upper.
The inside is signed "JDB" and marked, "Taxco, 925 (sterling silver), Hecho en Mexico". It also has the silhouetted eagle with number "3" (Taxco, Mexico - hallmark first used in 1955). The bracelet has an inner circumference of approx. 7 inches. The box clasp opens with a push button and closes securely with a snap. The bangle has expected surface wear with patina, fine scratches and slight irregularities to the geometric shapes. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition for its age.
